Appointments are available Monday to Friday, 9am–7pm. Evenings are available. No weekend appointments.
We ask for at least 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange your appointment. A £20 cancellation fee applies for late cancellations. If cancellations are made within the 48 hours' notice on more than one occasion, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required for all future bookings.
Payment is by cash on the day or bank transfer within 48 hours of your appointment. We do not currently accept card payments, so please plan accordingly.
Most patients benefit from a hygienist appointment every 3–6 months, though some people with gum disease or other conditions may need more frequent visits. Jo will assess your gum health at your first appointment and advise on the right frequency for you.
Jo arrives at your home, workplace, or care setting with everything needed — including a portable dental chair, unit and sterilised, freshly packed instruments. You don't need to provide anything.
The appointment is exactly as you'd expect from a practice visit: a thorough professional clean, gum health assessment, and personalised advice on your home care routine — all in the comfort of your own surroundings.
No referral is needed. As a registered dental hygienist, Jo can see patients directly without a dentist's referral. Simply WhatsApp or email Jo to arrange your appointment.
If you're under the care of a dentist for a specific issue, it's always helpful to mention this — but it isn't a requirement for booking.
Very little. Jo brings a portable dental chair that requires a small clear area — roughly the size of a single bed space. A lounge, bedroom, or dining room all work perfectly well.
If you have any concerns about space, just ask when booking and Jo will advise.
Yes. Jo uses the same professional-grade instruments and equipment you'd find in a fixed dental practice. All instruments are sterilised and freshly packed, clinical standards are identical to those required of any registered practice.
The Sparkle Fairy is CQC registered, which means these standards are independently regulated.
The Hygienist Appointment (£80) is our standard visit — a full professional scale and polish, gum assessment, and personalised oral hygiene advice.
The Diamond Clean (£100) includes all of the above, plus advanced airflow treatment or enhanced stain removal for a noticeably brighter, smoother finish. It's our most popular option, particularly for patients preparing for a special occasion.
Yes. Jo offers a dedicated Child Hygienist Appointment (£50) for under-16s. She uses a gentle, reassuring approach that helps children build positive associations with dental care from an early age.
We can also see children alongside their parents in a family appointment — just let Jo know when booking and she'll plan for everyone.
Yes. Our Periodontal Appointment (£120) is specifically designed for patients with gum disease (periodontitis) or those at higher risk. This involves deeper cleaning below the gumline and a structured treatment programme.
Jo will always discuss your gum health at your appointment and advise on the best ongoing plan for you.
Absolutely. We regularly see multiple family members — adults, children, and older relatives — in a single visit. It's one of the biggest advantages of a mobile service.
Simply let Jo know how many people you'd like us to see when booking and she'll allocate the right amount of time. Each person is charged at their relevant rate.
Jo visits the care home on a regular scheduled basis to provide oral hygiene appointments for residents. She is experienced in working with elderly patients, those living with dementia, and residents with complex or changing needs.
The service is priced at £50 per resident when three or more residents are seen (£80 otherwise). For more details, please visit our Care Homes page.
Yes. Jo offers corporate on-site visits for employees, priced at £50 per employee (minimum 3, otherwise £80). She'll come to your workplace and see employees in a private space with minimal disruption to the working day.

We're based in the Midlands and travel regularly to the South East — covering the Midlands, London, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, and surrounding counties.

Our prices are all-inclusive — there are no hidden travel fees for appointments within our standard coverage area. If you're outside our regular area, please get in touch and Jo will discuss any additional cost before you commit.
Yes. The Sparkle Fairy is CQC registered — the same regulatory body that oversees fixed dental practices. Jo is GDC registered and DBS checked.
You receive the same regulated, professional standard of care you'd expect from any high street practice — just without the travel.
